Cari Cohen born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, currently develops her successful career as a Visual Artist from her studio in North Miami Beach, FL. Cohen obtained a degree in Architecture from the University of Buenos Aires, also specialized in multimedia design and photography, establishing her own Design firm in architecture and interior design in Buenos Aires, creating projects for international companies. Relocated in USA in 2001, she dedicated to create Visual Art, completing her expertise as contemporary painter at Florida International University and Florida Atlantic University, also studying techniques for working with metals. Cari Cohen has largely exhibited her works in Art Fairs, relevant galleries as the Wit Gallery, Lenox, MA, and private or public institutions, like Citibank, where she had artworks on display at Aventura and Bal Harbour branches. Cari Cohen founded her own creativity Art School, "The Fun Palette", to teach adults and children in a large range of innovative visual art fields. From 2016, she is also a Certified Art Teacher for Golden. Cohen talented creativity as abstract painter evolved to the new Series Art + Light, made as on wood wall paintings or as standing sculptures, on them she masterly added the new element "light" that is the main component that bonds all the Art. In 2019, represented at Art Santa Fe, NM, by Contemporary Art Projects USA, she successfully exhibited her uniquely exquisite Series Art + Light. Her innovative Art present a new understanding in the artistic shapes positioned into the space. Cohen cleverly manages in her artworks colors, geometry and organic shapes in dynamic perspectives created by light and its reflection on space. Inspired by architectural masters Zaha Hadid and Frank Gehry, Cari transforms Art in a new language that shares lines with curves inserting the organic into the angular square, breaking the rational towards the new and fantastic. At the present she has created two distinct Series: Art + Light on pure Geometry and Art + Light on Organic evolving that are planned to be exhibited in her solo show entitled When Light merges with Art by Cari Cohen at Miami Dade College, during February/March 2021.
